Labour could do a proper job ending leasehold and @mtpennycook is capable of doing it. Starmer should let him @justinmadders @NLC_2019

Great news from @mhclg
#LeaseholdReform

Matthew Pennycook MP @mtpennycook

The work continues to switch on the measures in the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act.

I have today signed regulations to remove the two-year ownership rule for leaseholders of flats to extend their lease, and leaseholders of houses to extend their lease or buy their freehold.

Once again, the PM turns victory into vulnerability.

His government wins a massive High Court case against the freeholder lobby - and their response?

Silence.

They can’t even brag when they win!

No wonder Trump, Farage and Polanski fill the vacuum.
