Michael Stout, Director

Michael is an experienced information security director and consultant with expertise in cybersecurity, hacking, digital forensics, and artificial intelligence. He has held senior management and chief information security officer (CISO) roles and works as an independent consultant and trainer for the MoD, where he mentors service leaders entering cybersecurity roles. 

Michael began his career in IT in the 1980s before moving to Europe in the late 1990s during the dot-com boom and transitioned to focus on information security. He is interested in leveraging AI and machine learning for cybersecurity and business analytics. 

He has a master’s degree in IT and has lectured at intelligence, military, and law enforcement institutions on emerging cyber threats, hacking, and digital forensics.  

As well as being an international conference speaker, Michael has advised companies worldwide on information security frameworks, transformations, and meeting current business challenges. As a contract CISO, he specializes in implementing and transforming information security programs.

From a leasehold perspective, Michael has been a director and past chairman of his homeowner association for around five years. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his own experiences of flat-living, including AGMs/voting, committee meetings and procedures, EV parking, through to digital TV and data protection.
