Robert Tull, JP (Retired) FCIM ,FIBA ,LCGI
We are delighted to announce that Robert Tull has joined the FPRA as Director.
Robert started his career in sales with Rank Xerox followed by four years at NCR in Australia and then over 20 years in the UK at ITV. As a Regional Director he ran a new Princes Trust called PRIME which piloted in the East of England, for the Over 50s. The Princes Initiative for Mature Enterprise was a joint venture with Age Concern UK providing support to individuals to start their own small businesses. He was part of a government project which devised and ran workshops around the UK for Civil Servants, on how best to communicate and deal with older people.
He then went onto another government organisation Business Link Norfolk, firstly as Head of International Trade before being appointed as Operations Director. When the government policy cancelled all Business Links initiatives, he started his own Business Consultancy. From personal experience, he also has a clear perspective on the pros and cons of downsizing.
Robert has been Chair of the Residents Association, where he now lives in Hertfordshire, for 13 years. It is a retirement complex of 38 houses and flats on a mixed tenure estate set in communal gardens for the over 50s. There are 27 freehold houses and 11 leasehold flats all of which are owned by the residents.
Having faced poor management and continuing failure of improvements, Robert was forced to go through numerous formal complaints processes – he took one case to the Housing Ombudsman and won! He has also recently been active in providing evidence to The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act.
As Robert was a Justice of the Peace (JP) for 12 years he also knows something about Evidence and Fair Judgement. He was Vice Chair of The Norfolk Citizens Advice Bureau and Chair of Norfolk and Suffolk Chartered Institute of Marketing.
We warmly welcome Robert to the FPRA and look forward to him sharing his wide-ranging knowledge and expertise with our members.
